The theme for the December 2014 ipsy Glam Bag is You Are a Creative Genius. My first reaction? I KNOW, RIGHT?! 😉
This month the bag is black with fuchsia trim and a matching dangly heart from the zipper. So cute!
From Beauty Without Cruelty, A.H.A. 3% Facial Cleanser. This cleanser was just okay. I can’t speak to how well it performs over time but it smells nice and my skin felt clean after use.
From Sexy Hair, 450° Blow Out Heat Defense Blow Dry Spray Mini. This actually worked great on my hair and didn’t make it look dirty or weighed down. I see a few people weren’t a fan of the scent but I found it to be fruity and really nice! Definitely a good product that I’d repurchase.
From NYX, Butter Lip Balm. Subscribers will receive one of four shades – mine is in Marshmallow. That isn’t the shade that I’d ever want my marshmallow to look like but it sure does feel amazing on and tastes yum. I’m not a fan of the color on my lips.. it sort of deadens the pigment and washes me out. (swatched below on the left side of the pic).
From CAILYN Cosmetics, Just Mineral Eye Polish. I love everything from Cailyn that I’ve tried and this shadow is no exception. The shade is called Orchid, which makes me think of purple, but this is more of a darker tan shimmer. It’s a gorgeous shimmer accent if you’re doing a lot of mattes. This month has a nice mix of fabulous makeup products and one of my new fave hair products. The only kind of dud was the cleanser. It’ll get used, but it’s nothing I’d write home about. I definitely think it was worth the $10 I paid.
Ipsy has profile pages, so here is mine. There is also a pretty decent referral program in place. You refer friends and redeem points to get a sweet little bonus in your next bag (use the points to choose your own!). I’ve gotten some really fab full sized products but definitely read the description because some of them are a lot of points for just a sample size. Previous bonuses have been from NYX, Tarte, Revlon and more! Note: These points DO expire. I didn’t know that until right this minute. I was logged in and noticed my point total… I left for dinner and came back and it was 300 points less. I wish I’d have known that ahead of time so I could have spent them, but hopefully this message will help you out so you don’t lose your points!
Here is where you can go to subscribe to ipsy for a Glam Bag.
What do you think about the December Glam Bag? Are you going to subscribe for January? I’m always excited to see what they have in store!
