The holidays are approaching, entirely too fast. The last time I blinked I’m pretty sure I missed Halloween and also Labor Day. If I blink again Thanksgiving is gone and here we are, officially in the midst of holiday time. Because time is flying by at the speed of a Tasmanian devil in a cartoon, it’s important to have the right beauty products on hand to create simple and quick looks for any occasion. Office party… after-hours office party… hometown soiree… whatever it is you do (no judgment) you might as well look good doing it. Below you’ll find an easy look that you can do with your eyes closed (I’m kidding but it’s seriously that easy) using Mary Kay® products. A look that can take you to any occasion or event. First begin with the eyes, also known as windows to the soul. I like to keep the eyes neutral, but far from basic. To start, apply Mary Kay® Mineral Eye Color in Lavender Fog all over the lid and also through the crease. I like to use the Mary Kay® Eye Color Brush to press this in and then also dust another layer of the same shade over-top. Next, take the opposite side of the same brush and apply Mary Kay® Mineral Eye Color in Driftwood through the crease, blending upwards. Using a clean brush (if you have another of the Mary Kay® Eye Color Brush or something similar that will work) apply Mary Kay® Mineral Eye Color in Spun Silk at the inner corners and also as a highlight under the brow bone. I like to also bring this color down from the brow bone to blend out the crease color for a seamless transition. Next pick an eye liner shade that isn’t harsh, such as Mary Kay® Mineral Eyeliner in Deep Brown. This shade is perfect because it’s lighter than black but darker than brown, making me feel like I’m a little more “done up”. Draw a medium sized line on your upper lid, taking it just past the lash line. For the lower lash line I prefer to waterline and also put a dash of the liner under the lash line, but whatever makes you comfortable is always best! To finish up the eyes apply two to three coats of Mary Kay® Lash Love Mascara in I <3 Black to the top lids. I like to wiggle a bit on the bottom lashes too, but watch that you don’t go overboard on that… we’re not Twiggy. Once the eyes are done it’s time for cheeks. Because it’s important to keep the cheek color looking radiant all day long begin with a cream blush such as the Mary Kay® Cream Blush in Sheer Bliss. Dab this lightly on the apples of your cheeks and blend upward. If you feel like you could use a bit more color add a bit more to the cheek bone, but remember we’ll be using a powder blush to set the cream. After you’re all blended grab a blush brush, I used the Mary Kay®Cheek Color Brush, and lightly dust a coordinating powder blush shade on top of the cream. I used Mary Kay®Mineral Cheek Color in Shy Blush. Finally we can finish off with the lips. Again, this is something we’d like to stay on as long as possible so begin by applying Mary Kay®Lip Liner in Neutral around the natural outline of your lips and fill in lips with the same color. Grab a festive, berry shade like Mary Kay® True Dimensions® Lipstick in Rosette and apply this generously over your lips. After you apply your lipstick smooth out the edges with the Mary Kay®Lip Liner in Natural for a slightly plumping effect. You’re all finished! I love simple looks like this because they can be worn anywhere and to do anything. It looks like you spent a ton of time on yourself but really the application was fast and so simple.
