Marc Jacobs Fall 2014 brings several new releases. In this post I’ll be featuring the Twinkle Pop Eye Sticks and the Kiss Pop Lip Color Stick.
Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop ($28.00). I bought three shades of the Twinkle Pop in Three Shakes (milk chocolate shimmer), Au Revoir (pewter shimmer) and Leila (rose copper shimmer). These eye sticks feel cooling and make wonderful bases for making your shadows pop. You won’t need a secondary primer for these babies, my shadows stayed crease free all day (about 8 or 9 hours). The Twinkle Pops set really quickly, but you can blend just a bit if you work on one at a time. I personally don’t find all that extra work to be worth it, so when using these I prefer to just use them alone as a base rather than to create an eye look with just this product.
Marc Jacobs Kiss Pop in Smack. Smack is described as burgundy berry. I love the shade but I’m not a fan of the formula. On the swatch as well as on the lips you can see it’s got a finish like I smeared raspberries all over my lips. I exfoliated beforehand and it didn’t really seem to make a difference. You can see the cakey parts also happened on the arm swatch. It’s definitely pigmented, but on the dry side.
