I’m definitely more obsessed with Neil Patrick Harris than you are. I mean, we go way back to even his days as a fictitious child doctor. Now he’s all grown up and owning Broadway starring in Hedwig and the Angry Itch. Knock Out Cosmetics is the exclusive nail polish brand for Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway and they’ve created a customized collection for the show!
Bombshell is a pastel yellow that dries to a matte chalkboard type finish. It’s really, really, really cool looking. I want to paint tulips on it because it reminds me of Spring! I used two coats for full coverage. No top coat.
Sugar has a clear base and a ton of shimmering iridescent glitters. I’m loving it layered! One coat is shown over Bombshell with a top coat.
Hedwig is a bright red jelly with red glitter floating through it. This might just be the most gorgeous polish on the face of the Earth. It’s a little thick, making it hard to work with initially – but I feel the end result is beautiful. PS the second coat goes on easier than the first, wait for the first coat to dry completely. Two coats are shown below with a top coat.
Midnight is an opaque deep midnight blue with lighter blue glitter throughout. This is probably my favorite of the four and not because NPH wore it to the Tony Awards. Only one coat is required for full and even opacity and the formula was wonderful. WOOOOO!
I really loved the theme of this collection and the formulas were pretty good. My only gripe is that the longer brush head made me feel like I had less control over where the nail polish went and how well it applied.
Will you be picking up any of the KOxHedwig shades? Tell me your faves!
The KOxHedwig Nail Polish Collection is available exclusively for purchase online at the Hedwig online store where the nail polishes retail for $20.00 each. You can purchase other KO Cosmetics Nail Polishes at Urban Outfitters where they retail for $14.00 each.

How cool that NPH wore this polish! I wonder if Michael C Hall (the new Hedwig!) will also sport it. I’ve been watching How I Met Your Mother on Netflix and I’m obsessed with NPH in this show (and yes, I’m old enough to remember Doogie, too! lol)
