PUR Minerals has given you the tools you need to recreate the signature look of Jupiter Jones in their Jupiter Ascending Collection. Now, I’ve never read the books but I’m on board with anything related to Mila Kunis, so I know the movie is in my future. Plus the shades are really pretty and are usually the ones I’d buy up anyway.
You get three separate pieces in this collection. The first is an eye shadow palette that houses 6 shades of eye shadow – Majesty (Pale Taupe), Destiny (Cream), Night Sky (Slate), Jupiter (Rose), Caine (Mocha), Cosmos (Iridescent White) – and one small-ish eye shadow brush. The brush is meh. I feel like we’d have been better off with a small mascara in it’s place. I’m rarely a fan of brushes included with beauty products, though. The shadows were surprisingly soft and easy to use. I don’t feel like any of them were poor quality. In the eye look below I used the shades Jupiter (crease), Night Sky (lid), Caine (outer V) and Cosmos (inner corners/highlight).
Also in this kit are a Precision Eye Liner in Space (Black) and a Lip Gloss in Galaxy (Pink). The lip gloss is surprisingly my favorite part of this whole set. It’s pink, sure, but it lights up when you pull it out of the tube! It’s a glossy finish with a slight sticky feeling and just a bit of fine iridescent shimmer. The eye liner was okay. I point is on the finer side, making it easy for me to work with, but it didn’t coat in one swipe so I had to check to make sure all of the line was even pigment wise.
All together it’s $129.00 value for $29.00, so I feel like it’s definitely worth it whether you’re a fan of the books or just love the colors.
