Well, it’s been awhile but I’m finally ready to finalize my posting on the MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection. You’ve seen the nail polishes, cheek products and lip products – but I know eye shadows all hold a special place in our hearts. Especially when they’re Extra Dimension Eye Shadows!
Six Extra Dimension Eye Shadows were released within the MAC Alluring Aquatics Collection and I have five to share with you today in Lorelei (golden beige), Sea Worship (tarnished olive), Silver Sun (mid-tone dirty sea foam green), Soul Serenade (deep plum brown) and Legendary Lure (deep cerulean).
Above the shadows are swatched dry with no primer. The formula is super soft and the pigment is wonderful even when used dry. I had no issues with blending or fading. Using them wet will up the intensity slightly and make them a little more metallic, but tbh you don’t need to do that to get the quality.
Below I began my eye look by using a thin layer of NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base. Lorelei is at the inner corners, followed by Sea Worship at the center of the lid. The outer V is deepened with Legendary Lure and Silver Sun was used in the crease. Lorelei was used to blend out the crease and highlight. Soul Serenade was used as a liner at the top and bottom with a bit of Sea Worship smudged underneath and lower lash line. Bobbi Brown Violet Night Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliner was used to waterline the lower lash line. The mascara is Tarte Best in Faux Lash Extending Fibers and Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara.
