The July 2014 Glossybox is, warning, very skincare heavy. But, for the first time in any subscription box ever, I’m okay with that! Why? Because I found a new skincare item I refuse to ever be without and a great new lip balm!
Currently available in over 16 countries, GlossyBox has become known for their full sized products, high quality samples and prestigious brands such as NARS, Lancome, Laura Mercier, Tarte and more.
Let’s check out the goodies inside the July 2014 GLOSSYBOX!
From Mitchell and Peach, Body Cream. This body cream feels so fabulous and it makes your skin incredibly soft. The scent is a mix of light floral and I swear I can smell some baby powder in there. It relaxes me!
From Glamglow, YouthMud TingleExfoliate Treatment. I have been dying to try this one out, so I was super excited to get it in the box. This is a 10 minute mask that is said to work with the skins natural collagen to exfoliate, tighten pores, smooth texture, reduce fine lines and absorb impurities. A lot of claims from this lil guy! Unfortunately I couldn’t even leave this mask on for even one second before it burned. Bad. I wiped it off immediately. It wasn’t just a tingle. A tingle I can deal with. My skin can be a little sensitive, so maybe they’ll eventually come out with a TingleExfoliate for sensitive skin.
From Philip B., PH Restorative Detangling Toning Mist. This is great for when you need to revitalize your hair style throughout the day. I have extremely frizzy hair (hello, humidity!) so it didn’t work too well for me in that respect.
From Malin + Goetz, Mojito Lip Balm. This is a minty, clear balm that moisturizes and though it says it isn’t sticky I thought that it was just a bit. It’s not as thick as the Jack Black Lip Balm but it feels the same for me moisture wise. For those that love the Jack Black (like me) you’ll probably dig this.
From Skin Inc, Custom-Blended Anti-Aging Serum. Great for hydration and tackling the signs of aging! I love the look of the product almost as much as the product itself. The cute little capsules always make me smile. My skin always feels super soft and looks fresh after using this. Subscribers got one of three serums either in Anti-Aging, Soothing or Brightening (shown below).
The July shipment was great for me because it included so many things that I wanted to try. It actually saved me money because I’d have bought a full size of that Glamglow and never been able to use it. My favorite part was the serum from Skin Inc, which was a shock to me because skincare usually isn’t my favorite part of ANY subscription box. I also really love the lip balm from Malin + Goetz.
With GlossyBox you get a bit of everything, makeup, skin care, hair product… I love that this subscription box is sure to cover all of the bases, every single month.
GLOSSYBOX is a subscription service. You sign up on the website and then from there you can order your subscription based on one month, six months, or a year. You’ll answer a series of questions and based off of that, you will receive a customized box. This is all pretty standard for a beauty subscription service.
The price is a bit higher than that of other services you may have heard of or belong to. At $21 I would expect double the awesomeness of what I’d receive from, say, Birchbox.
GLOSSYBOX will always offer a MINIMUM of five products. After receiving your box, you can fill out more surveys in order to rate the products you received so they can better tailor your next package. So, basically, after a few months of the service, your packages should be PERFECT.
**TIP – Make sure you review the products received in your GLOSSYBOX to receive 20 GLOSSYDots per review. You can use these toward your own free box!**
For the month of August new subscribers will get a free Eyeko Mascara ($24.00 value)! Use code MAGIC at checkout to redeem!
*Offer not valid for limited edition boxes. Monthly, 3, 6 & 12 month subscriptions only. Ends 8/31/14.
