Did you know that NARS and Phillip Lim have collaborated for 14 seasons at NYFW? Since 2007! That’s a relationship, especially by today’s standards. The 3.1 Phillip Lim for NARS Nail Collection includes nine limited edition nail shades inspired by the “colors that exist in the shadows.” Of the 9 shades being released I have two to share with you today in Insidious and Crossroads. Warning, I go all movie buff on you in the descriptions.
Insidious. Brutal honesty, I initially needed this for the name. Ever since I saw that movie (which I didn’t feel was scary, but I did like it) I have loved saying the name. Insidious. I want everything to be Insidious (not really, that would be bad). Anyway. Insidious the nail polish is a beautiful blackened mossy green with golden shimmer. One coat, you guys! (PS this shade will be Exclusive to NARS boutiques and narscosmetics.com).
Crossroads. This also reminds me of a movie…. of the Britney Spears variety (Google it if you don’t know.. this was before her crazy and also before Taryn Manning was all blessed be holy roller in OITNB AND you might also recognize Zoe Saldana before she was a heavy Hollywood hitter). But we just won’t go there. Crossroads the nail polish is a saturated, blackened indigo cream. It’s pretty beyond what pretty means. Also one coat!
PRICE: Nail polish $20/each, Pochette $80
Available July 15, 2014 at NARS boutiques and narscosmetics.com; August 1, 2014 at Sephora and Dept./Specialty stores (like Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus).
