This Spring NARS is re-introducing their lipglosses by launching 30 shades (23 repromotes and 7 new) with new packaging, an all new formula containing Sea Lavender (to help protect against the signs of aging) and other nourishing ingredients to hydrate and smooth fine lines leaving lips soft and supple.
Of the seven new lip gloss shades being released I have three to share with you today in Tasmania, Salamanca and Quito.
- Tasmania (pink cantaloupe) is a sheer but pretty melon tinted pink. A great shade for your every day lip look.
- Salamanca (pink flamingo) is a semi-sheer watermelon shade that gives a lovely and natural, yet glossy, shade to the lips.
- Quito (bright strawberry pink) is a semi-opaque berry shade. I find it looks more natural if I just dab the color on from the wand then blend into my lips with my pointer finger. One of my favorite lip glosses so far this year.
I found the formula of these to be thin, but buildable. They weren’t extremely sticky but lasted several hours (Quito lasted the longest at about 4). I’m loving the doe-foot applicator (it’s always been a fave of mine) but I wish the neck of the tube allowed for more product to release when you pull the wand out. The suction seems to keep a lot of it down.
The new NARS Lip Gloss retail for $26.00 each and will be available beginning April 15, 2014 at NARS boutiques and on narscosmetics.com and May 1, 2014 at Sephora and Dept./Specialty stores (try Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s).
