Indigo is good stuff. I know this because it’s used to soothe and restore and also it says so on the Tatcha website. What is Tatcha? Simply said, Tatcha was founded when Victoria Tsai visited Japan and discovered the daily regimen of the Geisha within a 200 year old beauty manuscript. Tatcha was born as a way to share these secrets with the world.

Today I’m thrilled to introduce you to two of my new favorite products – Tatcha Indigo Soothing Silk Hand Cream($38.00) & Gold Camellia Moisturizing Lip Balm($36.00).

The packaging is gorgeous. The outer box is simple and gives the appearance of wood, if wood had gold lettering. On the back is a bit of info about the product as well as directions for use.

Inside the boxes the products are housed snugly within the purple, indigo and blue packaging. I love the deep, royal purple of the bottles and pots. It’s calming to me but oozes luxury.

Under the Soothing Silk Hand Cream is a little tale of rediscovery which tells of the origins of this particular product.

The Tatcha Indigo Soothing Silk Hand Cream comes in a beautiful Indigo shade and made my hands feel instantly amazing. There isn’t any sort of greasy feeling or residue, but it’s definitely working because my hands feel moisturized and refreshed. There is a very, very slight fragrance, but it’s hardly offensive.

The Gold Camellia Moisturizing Lip Balmhas the 24-karat gold leaf topper (which disappears upon use) and does the job it’s meant to do in an A+ way. You just swirl your finger around on the balm and smooth it on your lips. It’s not thick or goopy at all, but still allows your lips to remain supple and moisturized for several hours.

I’ve seen a few products from this brand floating around the interwebs, which are your faves?

Tatcha products are available at Tatcha.com and Barneys New York.
