The theme for the March 2014 ipsy Glam Bag is Destination Beauty. This bag is set to load you up with the basics you’ll need for traveling all housed in an adorable makeup bag.
The bag for this month features a print by artist Klari Reis from her “Street Anatomy” series.
Also included with your shipment is a card listing all of the awesome deals you can get by visiting the Glam Room on ipsy.com.
From Chella, Indigo Blue Eyeliner. This product had the potential to be my most favorite ipsy product of all time. The shade of blue is gorgeous and I haven’t found anything quite like it before. Unfortunately the tip runs out of product rather quickly, making it temperamental to apply. I actually had to go over it with a blue kohl liner to even up the line and the shade (see below). Disappointing, because I really thought it would be holy grail.
From NYX, Love in Rio Eye Shadow. There are a lot of color options in this palette but the one I received in my Glam Bag was Cabana Boy. I love the formula on NYX shadows and I’m always happy to get them. This is a fabulous trio of golden brown shades that look fabulous on the eye and pair well with the blue liner! I reviewed a few of the other shades last year, swatches are here.
From bareMinerals, Marvelous Moxie™ Lipstick in Get Ready. The shade and the formula are spot on fantastic for what I love to wear. Get Ready is a deep nude rose that is perfect for a cold weather date night, even if it’s just with the girls!
From Pixi Beauty, Flawless Beauty Primer. This primer is sheer and light, providing a luminous finish, which will help to slightly blur out imperfections. You’ll get a dewy finish from this one, rather than matte.
This was a great month for ipsy. I adore the NYX trio and am glad to have a compact lipstick in my “night out” shade for my makeup bag. The contents of this bag was definitely worth the $10 so I am absolutely in for April.
Ipsy does profile pages now, so here is mine. There is also a pretty amazing referral program in place. You refer friends and redeem points to get a sweet little bonus in your next bag. I’ve gotten some really fab full sized products as my bonuses, but, something new, you can use your points to choose your own bonus! I cashed in back in November for a full size NYX Cosmetics Bronze Smokey Look Kit (see photos and swatches here).
Here is where you can go to subscribe to ipsy for a Glam Bag.
What do you think about the March Glam Bag? Are you going to subscribe for April? I know I’m looking forward to my next bag!
