I’ve been lusting over the Tom Ford Eye Color Quads ever since the beauty line initially launched. Because of the price point I held back, waiting for the perfect quad. When the latest collection released and Orchid Haze appeared, I knew this was it.
What Neiman Marcus says about the Tom Ford Orchid Haze Eye Color Quad:
The centerpiece of the Tom Ford color collection. Each eye color quad is designed with four opulent complementing shades that achieve multiple looks. From a bold, smoky eye, to a sexy slash of color and everything in between.
Formulated with advanced color processes, the four luxurious finishes—sheer sparkle, satin, shimmer, and matte—offer a spectrum of intensity and effects and deliver incredible shade fidelity and outstanding adhesion. Two custom applicators included.
This quad is stunning in every way you could image. The shadows are soft, pigmented and easy to apply and blend. I only experienced minor fall-out from the deep purple shade. When worn all day over a primer creasing was non-existent.
The packaging is gold and chocolate, perfectly rich and luxe with a chocolate velvet pouch and small applicators.
My deal breaker. I turned the quad upside down to get the plastic cover off… and three of the four shadows fell out (I Instagrammed the photo here). Luckily my hand was there and I caught them… but that’s a big issue for me, especially because of the price point. Another user commented underneath the photo that this had happened to her too.
For this EOTD I primed my eye lids with Urban Decay Primer Potion. From the quad I have the rosy mauve pearl all over the lid, the mauve taupe in the crease, the deep purple satin in the outer-V and the shimmering ivory on the brow bone. The eye liner is Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Stray Dog and the mascara is Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant.
