For Fall 2013, Shideido is intent on making sure your face looks beautiful with and without makeup. Recently they launched Ibuki Skincare and a Fall beauty line set to make you look completely radiant.
From these lines I have a selection of products to show you – the Ibuki Refining Moisturizer, Sheer and Perfect Foundation in Natural Fair Ivory, Eyebrow Styling Compact in Light Brown, Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio in Into the Woods, Perfect Rouge Lipstick in Dreamscape and Lacquer Rouge Lipstick in Caramel.
Shiseido Ibuki Refining Moisturizer ($45.00) – what’s interesting about this moisturizer is that it’s runny, but doesn’t feel oily or watery on the skin. You need very little to coat your face and it sinks right in, leaving the skin feeling supple and looking glowy. It has a strong rose fragrance to it, it settles in quickly but doesn’t fade.
Sheer and Perfect Foundation ($35.00) – The shade I received is Natural Fair Ivory, and, based off of the swatch, is much darker in the bottle than you’d imagine. At first I worried it’d be too light for me, but it was actually a hair too dark. The coverage is light to sheer, but really makes a difference in the look of your skin. Because of the thinner consistency of the liquid I’d recommend using your fingers to apply over a brush.
Eyebrow Styling Compact ($30.00) – the shade I received is Light Brown, which was perfect for what I need. This powder gives a nice and natural look to the brow, leaving them more relaxed looking than what a pencil might show. The included brush is ideal for brushing on just the right amount. I like to fill in the sparsest areas with a pencil and then go over with a powder to even everything out before I set with a brow gel.
Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio ($33.00) – The trio I received was BR 214 Into the Woods. This is my first time using shadows from Shiseido and I’m completely impressed with how soft, pigmented and blendable they are. These shadows lasted all day on me without creasing and I actually forgot to use a primer (which is usually a beauty catastrophe).
Perfect Rouge Lipstick ($25.00) – the shade I received is in Dreamscape which is a rosy pink cream. The coverage of this lipstick is perfect – moisturizing and completely opaque in one swipe without being thick.
Lacquer Rouge Lipstick ($25.00) – The shade I received was RD 215 Caramel. It definitely does not resemble caramel in any way. It’s more of a peachy pink cream with an almost un-noticeable shimmer. The formula was thick enough to be opaque without being goopy or sticky.
I’m especially intrigued by the limited edition Shiseido Eye Color Bar Eyeshadow Palette ($50.00). I know the shadows are great quality in the palette I own, and the ones in the LE palette look ridiculously fun to play around with!
