Products for this post were provided by Revlon. All opinions are my own.
At some point, you’ve needed to rush out the door (for work, school, etc.) and within the small amount of time that you have to get ready, you would like to appear somewhat presentable. You can do this. You might think you can’t but it’s actually quite simple to maximize your products or use them in multiple ways. For today’s tips and tricks we’re enlisting the help of Revlon, which has awesome product to use when your beauty goals are versatility and speed.
I don’t know about you, but I always start with my eye makeup. It’s definitely easier to clean up under the eyes and on the cheeks when you haven’t applied your foundation or powders yet. Even if your trusty eye shadows have never given you fall out before, why risk it when you’re in a hurry? Plus, it always takes the longest to apply the eye makeup!
Let’s begin! No time to dig out your eye shadow base? No problem. Use Revlon ColorStay™ Eye liner (which glides on effortlessly in a precise line) as your base to hold your shadows all day long–this also deepens the colors that you’re applying to your eyes. This waterproof liner sets very quickly, so I apply in three parts: outer V, blend with finger, middle, blend, inner eye, blend… you get the picture 😉 Once it’s on you can get to applying the rest of your eye makeup.
(L-R: Revlon ColorStay™ Eyeliner in Black, Charcoal, Black Brown, Brown)
Below I’ve used the Revlon ColorStay™ Eyeliner in Brown as my base and applied the Revlon ColorStay™ 16 Hour Eyeshadow in Harmonious on top. The Revlon ColorStay™ Eyeliner in Black Brown is the eye liner, and I’ve smudged it lightly with the green shade in the quad.
The eye shadow provides beautiful colors that last. What I love about these palettes is that the shades are paired up in combos that I’d never think of putting together myself, but they always work! The shadows blend easily and the color doesn’t fade on me (which is so important when you’re running around all day!). Below I’ve swatched three of the Revlon ColorStay™ 16 Hour Eye shadows dry without a primer:
Revlon ColorStay™ 16 Hour Eyeshadow in 595 Harmonious
Revlon ColorStay™ 16 Hour Eyeshadow 580 Free Spirit
Revlon ColorStay™ 16 Hour Eyeshadow 590 Sun Swept
Next we need to put our faces on. Revlon ColorStay Whipped™ Crème Makeup looks thick, but it applies like a dream and you need very little to achieve buildable full and natural coverage. Did I also mention it makes your skin look flawless and lasts all day? Time release technology balances skin for a continuously fresh look. If you have a shade that is super dark (maybe from those practically long forgotten summer months) you can also use it for bronzing/contouring.
(L-R: Revlon ColorStay Whipped™ Crème Makeup in 200 Sand Beige & 240 Natural Beige)
Now, for what is probably my favorite part… the lips! I feel like the lip color is what really makes your face come alive. The perfect hue can make or break you, and you’ll want it to be comfortable and last all day. Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede™ Lipstick is your ticket to rich, comfortable shine. 92% of women said lips felt creamy and instantly comfortable. In a pinch, these also make the perfect cheek tint. Just sayin’!
(L-R: 095 Finale, 035 Backstage, 005 Muse)
In the top pic below check out the products I used for my “get-out-the-door-super-fast face”. In the middle face pic below, this was my all day face. I touched up the lipstick a bit for vibrancy and then also added two more pics so you could see the other lips shades in action!
Finally, since you’re in a hurry, you’re not going to want to waste time worrying about your nails. Paint them the night before (or even the day before!) and don’t worry about shrinkage or chips by using the Revlon® ColorStay™ Longwear Nail Enamel in conjunction with the Revlon ColorStay Gel-Smooth Base Coat and Revlon ColorStay Gel-Shine Top Coat. The nail enamel is available in 30 shades and boasts a gel-type shine. When worn together with the above base and top coat it should provide up to 11 days of color. My favorite part about this polish? The brush! It’s wide and easily coats the nail for quick and even application. Below I’ve swatched three of the shades (each only needed one coat!) over the Revlon ColorStay Gel-Smooth Base Coat and Revlon ColorStay Gel-Shine Top Coat:
(L-R: Midnight, Red Carpet, Rich Raspberry)

Okay. First of all I really NEED the 16 Hour Eyeshadow in Sun Swept. It is super pretty!! SO SPARKLY. And the minty green color? GORGEOUS.
My beauty secret is dry shampoo! I have really fine hair that looks great after I style it in the morning but always falls flat mid-day. So I just slip into the bathroom before lunch, spritz a little dry shampoo and BAM! I emerge looking like I stepped out of a shampoo commercial. My hair is all bouncy and full and smells fresh. Another great bonus to dry shampoo is that it enables me to skip a day (or two) of hair washing. I can spray the dry shampoo and revive my dirty hair. Or give my hair the extra oomph it needs to look amazing in one of those easy to do top buns.
Beauty secret REVEALED. Just don’t judge my laziness or lack of motivation to wash and/or style my hair.

I have a couple beauty secrets I can reveal! When I walk a funky or bright lipcolor and don’t have the time or money I mix some chapstick with eyeshadow to create my own custom shade. I also keep a small water spritzer in my purse for when I do powder touch ups throughout the day I can spritz my face so my skin doesn’t look chalky or dry.

Having extremely oily skin, my favorite beauty trick is to apply my moisturizer, let it sink in well, cover it with a very thin layer of Milk of Magnesia, let it dry, then apply a good face primer followed by the tinted moisturizer, foundation, or BB cream of the day (depends on how my skin is looking on any particular day), and finish with a very faint dusting of Hi-Def loose powder. Then, I add my chosen blush or bronzer for the day. I know that this is a lot of steps, but I get a beautiful, flawless finish that lasts from early morning until I remove it late at night it. It honestly doesn’t take as long as it sounds to do and I don’t have to touch up even once during the entire day. It is totally worth it to me to have that perfectly prepared canvas!

Primers, both face and eye. Foundation primer makes foundation go on faster, smoother, and last longer. And I end up using less foundation when I use a primer. Eye shadow primer keeps me from having the instant migration happen.
My other ‘secret’ is a dot of white in each corner of my eye, blended out. It makes me look more awake.
