It seems like when you have little ones, flu and cold season never ends. It’s like that for everyone… which means it’s impossible to get any sort of doctors appointment, and if you do manage to wiggle your way into an open slot later in the week, you’re already better and feel like a liar or you’re worse and might need (God forbid) hospitalized. This means you’re spending more money on what should have just been a co-pay at your primary care physicians. Just in reading that I’m frustrated. As a parent of two little ones, that scenario happens well more than I care to admit (not the hospital part *knocks on wood*). Their pediatrician is super nice and amazing, but when it comes to my kids I can’t play a waiting game nor do I want to sit in an office of sick people that is chock full of germs. If you’re like me, you might want to know that a great option just might be right in your backyard. The Healthcare Clinic inside of Walgreens is an outpost of the doctor’s office and can handle minor and chronic illnesses and they’re open 7 days a week … including evening hours (at select locations)! Walgreens Healthcare Clinics have licensed and board certified Nurse Practitioners on staff who can help you manage and monitor chronic conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma or high cholesterol. Additionally, some clinics are even staffed with physician assistants. The best part is, you could call ahead to make an appointment, but walk-ins are also fine and they’ll accept most forms of insurance. This clinic is so convenient when you’re on the go either as a career gal/guy or a busy parent. Let’s face it, life gets in the way and maybe you forgot to schedule in an appointment or need to be seen right now. Head to Walgreens, get seen and pick up your script and some juice all in one shot. For regular health check-ins, click here to find a Walgreens Healthcare Clinic near you. Now with more services to help you manage your family’s healthcare needs. What are some of the reasons you might visit a Walgreens Healthcare Clinic near you?

Easy in and out in 20 minutes for flu shots, common colds, sinus infections, etc. If they write you a prescription for your illness you can get it filled at the Pharmacy without ever leaving the store. Very fast, efficient service when you are not feeling well.
