Everything is always busy, busy. We’re short on time, we’re short on money. If there were some way to save both time and money and not have to exert yourself in any way, you’d do it, right? Right.
Citi offers the Citi Simplicity card, which is the ONLY card that never charges late fees, a penalty rate or an annual fee, ever. When you consider credit card late fees typically start at $15 and can be as high as $35 per missed payment late payment fees can really add up, causing stress. Oh, you don’t think stress can effect your beautiful self? Stress can lead to break outs, loss of beauty sleep, memory problems, anxiety, irritability (no one is beautiful when they’re irritable)… the list is endless. You certainly don’t want to put yourself through any of that (especially the breaking out part… ack). I never used to be late, but now with a lot of commitments and projects on my plate in addition to my family (which always comes first) late is happening a lot more than I want it to. Since I’m already the late one, saving time is of the essence and I’ll take all the help I can get. With this card you also get the option of choosing your payment date. Every card needs to get on board with that. People wouldn’t forget their payment nearly as much if we had a standard date for knowing when our bills are due and let it coincide with when we get paid. If you get paid the 15th, awesome, because you can set up your payment to be due on the 16th or after. The choice is yours! I show a lot of high-end beauty product on this blog, and I clearly have a handbag fetish. Financially, it’s just smart to know where the deals are and also the best ways to save money. Because of this one of my favorite features from Citi is the Citi Price Rewind, which searches retailers’ sites for lower prices when you buy and register an eligible item with your Citi credit card. Save your credit card receipt each time you shop. If Citi finds your item at least $25 lower than what you paid within 30 calendar days, you can get the difference in price back, up to $250. The average refund is $80. That feature seriously blows my mind. I’m horrible at sale shopping and looking for deals, and to have a card to do that for me is a dream come true. There is also a convenient way to get deals with your Citi Simplicity card. Citi Easy Deals offers you access to great savings on over 200,000 offers – including gift cards, travel, brand name merchandise, restaurants, shops and more. This feature is accessible on your PC and also your mobile phone! All that jazz and you also get zero liability on unauthorized charges, no annual fee, no late fees and no penalty rate. I am always early!!!! I have clothes and accessories planned ahead, the husband is in charge of letting the dog out. We don’t have kids so that does make it easier. But we just always have everything ready to go, if possible the night before, so we aren’t running around last minute.

i have learnt that late people always aim to arrive to the minute, leaving no room for contingency. Say you need to get to work at 9:00. You assume it takes exactly 12 minutes to get to work, so you leave at 8:48. If you miss one traffic light or have to run back inside to grab an umbrella, it becomes impossible to make it in on time. Don’t chance it. you should plan to be everywhere 15 minutes early. i always apply this strategy to never plan and it works always.

I conquer lateness by marking the appointment time on my calendar as 15 minutes earlier than the appointment and then I always give myself 15 minutes extra drive time. Basically, I arrive everywhere about 20 minutes early instead of 10 minutes late.

For bills, I conquer lateness by paying all my bills at the beginning of the month (kind of necessary when you only get paid once a month). I also set calendar alerts for each bill the day before it’s due. That way, I can double check to make sure I didn’t forget to pay it at the beginning of the month.

I make a lot of lists and often have several copies so I can mark things off whenever I think about it. I also have my bills scheduled on my computer so I don’t forget to pay them on time. Due to a portion of income from rental property it isn’t always in my bank account at the same time every month so automatic bill pay just doesn’t work for me.

I like to be on time or even a few minutes early, but I am notorious for getting lost, which often makes me late. I build extra travel time into my schedule to allow for getting lost, not finding parking, etc. I also use Google Maps to map my route if I’ve not been there before.

I try to conquer my lateness however having a son with Autism it is not always possible to be in time on appointments, to try to conquer my lateness ,I set a schedule for the day and give my son rewards when he finish one task at a time, the reason of my lateness are unscheduled meltdowns ( cause by sensory overload and going to new places) , and when that happens , what I do is to let the meltdown run its curse , and be patience .

If we are talking about lateness regarding paying bills, my simple solution is I pay them all the day I get paid. Since I can pay them all online now, I just take a chunk of time and pay everything at once.
Regarding lateness for appts., I use an online calendar for work appts, but I’ve learned that if I don’t check it regularly (every morning or the day before), I can still forgot sometimes. In general it does a good job of helping me plan when to leave for appts., etc.
