In case you haven’t heard (haha, it’s okay, I know you have) CVS has a line of cosmetics from beauty bombshell Salma Hayek. In the coming weeks I’m going to be posting a lot of the goods, starting with the Nuance Lasting Wear Gel Eyeliner.
What CVS says about Nuance Salma Hayek Lasting Wear Gel Eyeliner:
Lasting wear. My line is inspired by my grandmother, who dedicated her life to keeping women beautiful. My products are designed to help every woman enhance the nuances that define her individual beauty, and make my grandmother proud. – Salma. The ease of a pencil with the smooth finish of a liquid. Aloe vera & vitamin E gently soothe and condition the skin around the eyes. Calendula & avocado oils nourish delicate lids. Safe for even the most sensitive eyes. Ophthalmologist tested. Hypoallergenic. Fragrance free. Dermatologist tested. Mineral oil free. Not tested on animals. Made in Germany.
The shade names are self explanatory, so we’re just going to jump right into the review. These liners are exquisitely smooth and easy to work with. One pass gives you perfect and even pigment. In terms of staying power the black lasts longer than the grey but each will give you around 6+ hours. They are easy to smudge and set after awhile (not so fast you can’t smudge, but you have to watch for a few minutes).
Because it’s so soft you’ll have to sharpen it after almost every use, so if you use it a lot you may run through it quickly. Right now it’s only available in these two shades plus a brown, I’d love to see a few more colors!
Nuance Salma Hayek Lasting Wear Gel Eyeliner retails for $9.99 and is available at CVS.
