The MAC Pinkluxe Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow is one of six new shadow palettes (see Smokeluxe) released this month by MAC. These sets are here to simplify your daily eye looks by housing five coordinating shades in one sleek compact.
What the MAC website says about Pinkluxe Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow:
Five complementary shades that glide on and blend beautifully for infinite day-to-night looks: frost white pink, bright frosty pink, deep violet, blackened purple with purple pearl and blackened plum. Matte to highly pearlized finish.
Pinkluxe contains five shades, described by MAC as a frost white pink, bright frosty pink, deep violet, blackened purple with purple pearl and blackened plum. On the swatches you really can’t see a huge difference between the frost white pink and the bright frosty pink, but on the eye the first pink (frost white pink) has much grittier and apparent glitter.
The shadows in this palette are soft but not very pigmented. They were all very easy to apply and blend. No creasing was apparent after a full day of wear over UDPP. While the color of these shades isn’t super intense, you can make them stand out a bit more by using them wet.
Like with the other Veluxe Pearlfusion palettes, the strips are small, making it a little hard to get my brush in. Also, I experienced quite a bit of fall out with the blackened purple with purple pearl shade.
For this EOTD I began with a thin layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion. The deep violet shade is all over the lid and up through the crease. The frost white pink shade is at the inner corners of the eye and at the brow bone. The bright frosty pink shade is used to highlight. The blackened purple with purple pearl shade is in the outer V. I used the blackened plum shade as a top liner and Giorgio Armani Smooth Silk Eye Liner in Plum as a bottom liner. The mascara is MAC Plushlash.
