For Spring 2013 Stila has released a new sort of eye shadow palette, available in six shades – the Stay All Day 3D Wet-To-Set Eyeshadow Trio. I purchased three of them (I couldn’t decide!) but this post will be focusing on Desert Sunset.
Normally I’m not much of a purchaser of Stila, but lately the products have just wowed me! There are some new liners too that I spotted in mint and periwinkle and all sorts of fun shades that I also need to get my hands on!
Enough babble! On to the goods!
What Ulta says about the Stila Stay All Day 3D Wet-To-Set Eyeshadow Trio:
This high performance, velvety shadow creates unique, luxe finishes on your lid when combined with the water on your brush. A first of its kind, this revolutionary formula delivers excellent payoff that is ultra-long wearing and stays all day.
Desert Sunset is a warm trio of peach, a coppery tan and a reddened brown. They are swatched above dry with no primer, so imagine the pigment when wet! The texture is uber velvety and so blendable. This palette feels and looks dream like.
The packaging is small, just a little square, but made of durable plastic. Each strip of color is big enough for you to get your brush into and the compact shape makes it easy to store.
The only con I can speak of is that after a full day of wear I did have some slight creasing, but I was running hard the other day while wearing this and it was 80 degrees out.
For the EOTD look below I began by using UDPP as a base. Taking the Desert Sunset trio I applied the coppery tan shade all over the lid, the reddened brown shade to the crease and outer V and used the shimmery peach shade for the inner corners and to highlight. The eye liner is MAC Teddy Eye Kohl and the mascara is Neutrogena Healthy Volume.
I’m also wearing this eye look in this FOTD.
The Stila Stay All Day 3D Wet-To-Set Eyeshadow Trio retails for $24.00 and it’s sold exclusively at Ulta and stilacosmetics.com.

Can this triple shadow Desert Sunset be applied dry. I was looking for this triple shadow. Please RSVP as soon as possible. I prefer this color trio to apply on my lids dry not wet…thank you, Barbara

Hi Barbara! Yes, they can be applied dry. In the eye look I used them dry, I’m not a fan of wetting my shadows either! Such awesome pigment though, they totally do look dampened!
