The newest Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow comes to us with the Spring 2013 Printemps Precieux de Chanel Collection in the form of Raffinement, an exquisite quad that will be perfect for the warm toned and cool toned alike.
What the Nordstrom website has to say about Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow:
One essential compact offers unlimited eye looks, with shade combinations ranging from matte to frost to satin for multiple looks, contrasting or complementary. Apply dry for subtle shadowing. Slightly moistened applicator gives a more intense shade. Organic polymer derivatives ensure smudge-proof long wear, particularly in high temperature or humidity.
Raffinement is a quad of four extremely wearable shadows in a plummy mauve, a peachy ivory that gives off hints of lilac when swatched, a peachy tan and a dark burgundy. They swatch very similar, but on the eye look below you’ll see each stands out well on it’s own.
Quite obviously, Raffinement translates into Refinement in English. It’s the perfect moniker for this palette. The four shades blend and combine effortlessly to create a refined and classic eye, which just hints away from your usual boring brown-ish shades. I think this quad will look especially stunning on those with grey, hazel or green eyes. It’s truly a palette you could reach for and wear every single day. Thankfully, it’s also part of the permanent line, so if you run out, you can easily replenish!
For this EOTD I took the peachy tan shade and applied it all over the lid. The mauve is in the crease with the burgundy in the outer V. The peachy ivory was used at the inner corners, to blend out the crease and to highlight. The eye liner is MAC Powersurge Eye Kohl and the mascara is Chanel Le Volume.
