Whether you have a little elf that moves around your house or go caroling, no matter what holiday you celebrate, you have traditions.  It seems like when you have two small children new traditions crop up every year, mixing what you grew up with with something fresh and meaningful that your kids can grow up with and teach to their own children.  Now I’m thinking about grandchildren, which makes me feel ridiculously old.  Moving on!

This year, we started something new, and my three and six year old were given trees, ornaments and all the fixings of their very own.  To decorate as they pleased.  I think they did a fabulous job, so I wanted to share it with you =)

They had candy canes on the trees too, but you can just imagine how long those didn’t last for haha

What is your favorite holiday tradition?

  1. My tradition was decorating the tree with my little girl while we watched Fried Green Tomatoes or Christmas Story! Now that little girl is a grown woman so my new tradition is baking & decorating Christmas Cookies with my 2 most precious grandchildren pictured above!
