For this installment of Makeup Wars I had my trusty, tried-and-true mascara set aside… MAC Plushlash. Even then I was torn between that and Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill. After settling on Plushlash I felt confident and took my pics so I could have my post ready to go for the scheduled time.
And then Chanel happened.
Never in my life have I found a mascara that can launch my lashes off of my face. The new Chanel Le Volume de Chanel ($30.00 USD)CAN.
Clearly the tube you see above is a sample size, but I’ve already ordered a full size from Neiman Marcus. The brush is called a “Snowflake brush” which combines long and short bristles for an extreme lash-gasm. Lashes are thickened, lengthened and curled in ONE STROKE.
The eye you’re about to see has had no primer. A curler has not touched even one lash. There are no false eye lashes in the making of this eye. This is ONE COAT of mascara. And, yes, my lashes did stay like this ALL DAY.
The only thing it doesn’t do is separate lashes, but when I’m wanting extreme volume I’m truly not worried about separation. People, I have a new favorite mascara!
Chanel Le Volume de Chanel Mascara isn’t officially “out” yet, but it is currently available on the Neiman Marcus website.

OMG you’ve got to be kidding me! This one looks FRICKKING fantastic! Now I have to at least lay my hands on a sample. I haven’t tried any Chanel mascara yet!

I have to be honest, I was not a fan of ANY Chanel mascara before this. You would have to pry Le Volume out of my cold, dead hands. It’s PHENOMENAL.
This looks like a winner! It is sitting on my desk and I hope to finally try it today!

I may have to try that! Looks amazing! I would have to use a lash comb as even with volume I do like separation but it looks promising. There is another Chanel mascara I had samples of about a year ago that I totally loved but I never ended up trying a full size.

You definitely should try! I imagine samples will be made available, so it doesn’t hurt to ask at a counter or keep your eyes peeled when you do an online order!
I can’t believe it! I’m on the lookout for new mascara and wow, I just might get this. I’m 99% sure. Now to wait for it to land on our shores…

I just got an ad for this from Chanel in my email. I deleted it before I saw your post. I think that is a grave mistake. If you like it better than Armani then I’m in trouble. It looks amazing. I would comb through it more like Perilously Pale would only because my lashes are so short.
