Murad Skin Perfecting Primer Matte Finish joins it’s sister “Dewy Finish” in a small line of Murad Hybrids for tinted face priming perfection.
There is but one shade, in Natural, that is said to work with every tone, though I think the paler ladies might find it a tad dark. It blended in well with my coloring (neutral, NW25 in MAC) and felt lightweight and non-cakey.
What the Sephora website has to say about Murad Skin Perfecting Primer Matte Finish:
What it is:
A two-in-one, problem-solving primer that creates a smooth, shine-free, delicate powder finish.
What it is formulated to do:
This high-performance, oil-free pre-makeup step minimizes the appearance of pores while balancing oil production and refining skin texture. The tinted formula contains Adaptive Shade Technology, which uses micro-dynamic mineral layering that adapts to the unique characteristics of each person’s skin to provide a perfect shade match and adeptly disguise flaws. High concentrations of antioxidants, hydrators, botanicals, fruit extracts, minerals, vitamins, and amino acids ensure optimal performance and promote skin health.
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Synthetic Fragrances
What else you need to know:
This advanced formula features Pore Factor-5, which offers five skin benefits:
– Improves appearance of skin texture
– Blends with skin’s natural pigments to add luminosity while smoothing out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
– Helps to normalize oil production and control bacterial proliferation
– Soothes and reduces inflammation
– Protects against the damaging effects of UV-induced free radicals to preserve and improve skin elasticity, firmness, and tone
I’ll be honest. When I first swatched this product and was just playing around with the consistency, I didn’t expect to be impressed. The formula is thin, so it didn’t seem as though it would provide the coverage I needed or give me the help that I require.
People. This stuff is the cheese (read: AWESOME). Once I smoothed it on my face I found that it could absolutely be worn alone because it hid redness and completely evened out my face. When I am going somewhere I can pop on a light foundation and/or my powder over-top and my face nears flawless territory. I’m officially not only in love, but in lust.
