Marc Anthony 2nd Day Clear Dry Shampoo Review

My head equals grease. I’m not one of those people that can just wash their hair at night and think that at any point I could go into public without washing it again in the morning. Greaseeeeee, is the word. That you heard. But it’s not as cool as the movie.

I’ve always wanted a dry shampoo that worked. I reviewed one previously in brush form, that served a particular styling purpose well (teasing but not really.. pretty cool!). All other spray types have been too heavy and always shown up and made my hair look dirty. Also, they’re not exactly cheap.

Marc Anthony 2nd Day Clear Dry Shampoo is not only touted as being clear, oil absorbing, and volume enhancing, but also affordable! But will it work for me?

What the Ulta website has to say about Marc Anthony 2nd Day Clear Dry Shampoo:

Description
It was developed with Nanotechnology and Zeolite, a micro-porous mineral, to cleanse hair without a chalky residue or gritty texture. Its invisible, extra absorbent formula lets you remove excess oil, eliminate odor and add volume. It is perfect for all hair types, styles and colors to get beautifully fresh hair between washes. You no longer have to worry about greasy, flat hair between washes.
Directions
Cleanse and add volume in minutes without the wash! Lightly spray 2nd Day Clear Dry Shampoo on dry hair, concentrating on the roots area to absorb excess oil and add lift. Let dry for one minute. Brush through to finish your style or, for a more natural finish, give your hair a gentle tousle. Style as usual.

The 2nd Day Clear Dry Shampoo is a very light dry shampoo. My grease may be a little too much to handle, but one thing I can say… it IS clear. I sprayed the crap out of my crown all over. Waited the minute. Brushed through. It didn’t look AS greasy, and didn’t look dirty. There was improvement, but I had to reapply it once more mid-day.

Since I’m such a grease ball, the best way I’ve found to use this is by using the Shu Uemura Art of Hair Volume Maker on the crown, then flipping my head over and using this on the rest of my hair. Which saves me from over-using the expensive Shu and saving it for where I need it the most (on top). If you don’t suffer from extremely oily hair and just need a bit of revitalizing, this will be perfect for you!

Marc Anthony 2nd Day Clear Dry Shampoo retails for $7.99-$8.99 and is available at your local drugstore retailers, Ulta, and drugstore.com.
