After a lot of limited edition polishes, (some a love, some a hate) MAC has decided to create a 31 color range of Nail Lacquers, available in 3 finishes. You’ll recognize a lot of the names, but some are new. Hopefully if you missed out on a coveted LE MAC nail polish in the past, you can pick it up now!
For this post I’m featuring Vintage Vamp, which is described as a rich deep retro wine.
Vintage Vamp is a beautiful shade of merlot and has a jelly finish.
I had the hardest time with the formula on this one. The above swatch is four coats… I just couldn’t get it to be even. This one might be best to layer over top of another color, but really… for the money you could find a dupe that is easier to work with.
For more information on the full line of MAC Nail Lacquers, please see the Official Press Release.
MAC Nail Lacquers retail for $16.00 each and are available at your local MAC Counter (try Nordstrom) or store, as well as online at www.maccosmetics.com.

I have never purchased a Mac nail polish – as i have heard such mixed reviews of them. Like you say there seems to be quite a few dupes for their colours.

Some of them are SO good… but then you get others that can be such duds. I do love this color, but polishes from OPI or China Glaze are more accessible and affordable… good coverage and wear for the money. Also, Chanel is more expensive but their Vamp is TDF (tho not a jelly lol).

China Glaze had one over holiday last year. This shade is probably going to be seen heavily in the coming months since the seasons are changing. I’ll keep my eyes peeled!
