This June MAC teamed up with the design house Ruffian to create a mini-collection that is limited edition and online only. In this collection we only see three lipsticks and three manicures (a new product for MAC!). For this post, I’ll be showing you one of the lipsticks in Ruffian Naked.
What the MAC website has to say about Ruffian Naked Lipstick:
Three Lipsticks created in collaboration with New York design house Ruffian, inspired by their SS12 ready-to-wear collection. Pair Ruffian Naked with the Spectator Manicure. Limited Edition.
Ruffian Naked is described as a pale peachy nude, matte finish. Without the middle part of my lips being visible, you could almost not even see that I had lips. Hence, Naked? It’s really like concealer and someone like me is going to absolutely need a sparkly gloss over top to add some dimension. For a matte, the formula is actually very smooth and not drying. It’s also fully opaque in one swipe.
Did you pick up anything from Ruffian? I think I need the red lippie.
For more information on this collection, please see the Official Press Release. For your viewing pleasure, there is also a video on What Inspired the Manicures of the MAC Ruffian Collection.
MAC Ruffian Naked Lipstick retails for $14.50 and is online only at maccosmetics.com.
