OPI is the latest brand to develop an applique for the nails – Pure Lacquer Nail Apps.
If your interest has piqued on these, you’ve obviously tried or at least considered one of the other brands out there who have done this in the past. OPI is the first brand since Sally Hansen that I’ve been impressed with in the nail art app arena.
Currently available in 12 shades, I have two here to share with you. Today’s post will focus on the shade that I gravitated towards immediately – Reptile. I adore reptile print much more than I adore an actual reptile. Actual reptiles can just keep their distance.
Reptile features a snake-skin pattern of bronzes, golds, silvers and pinks. It’s so funky and fun, I can’t stop checking out my nails! The Nail Apps were easy to apply, and IMO required the least fussing and messing around with of any brand I’ve tried.
I found as I was applying that these adhere best when pressed to the nail and smoothed out. Once they’re smooth I hold down the app with my finger and allow it to fuse to the nail. File off the excess and done. FAST. (I also added a top coat to make it last a bit longer and make it look more polish-like).
Removal is easy, just grab your acetone (or non!) and swipe em off like a regular lacquer!
And now, the best part! Imagine my excitement when I saw that the Reptile Nail Apps matched one of my new handbags! Score!
Pure Lacquer Nail Apps are available at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for the suggested retail price of $11.95.
