MAC Entertain Me, Embrace Me Lip Pencil Swatches and Review – Beth Ditto

For June 2012, MAC has collaborated with artist Beth Ditto and released a collection just as passionate as she is.

MAC Beth Ditto is a decent sized collection with products ranging from the new Shade & Smoke Shadow/Liner, to our favorite Pro Longwear Lipcremes, to a set of coordinating Lip Pencils.

Four Lip Pencils released with this collection – Nightmoth, In Synch, and today’s post of Embrace Me and Entertain Me.

What the MAC website has to say about Lip Pencils:

A pencil designed for shaping, lining or filling in the lip. Lip Pencils have a smooth, creamy texture that is perfect for lining the lips or filling them in. They are long-lasting and available in a wide selection of colours that each work well with many different lipstick shades.

(L-R: Entertain Me, Embrace Me)

Both Entertain Me(clearly orange) and Embrace Me(vivid pinkish fuchsia) are vibrant Summer “It” colors.

Entertain Me is that tangerine shade that has been named the color of the year by Pantone Universe, so it’s likely you already have a lip shade that would match nicely with this one.

Embrace Me is a hot fuchsia that, even though it’s not deemed the “it color of the year” is still hot for this season. And had me freaking out because it matches my new Rebecca Minkoff Cupid 😉

MAC Lip Pencils in general have remained my top lip liner choice throughout the years. They are a pencil, so it’s not going to be moisturizing, but I don’t get a ton of pull. A nicely sharpened pencil gives off even color and provides accuracy.

For more information on this collection, please see the Official Press Release as well as the Q & A with Beth Ditto.

MAC Lip Pencils retail for $14.00 and can be purchased at your local MAC counter (try Nordstrom) or store, as well as at maccosmetics.com. Embrace Me & Entertain Me are listed as limited edition.
