Okay, so I went on a bit of a Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick buying bender. Sephora finally had them in stock so I could swatch the Sephora exclusives and other shades. Can you believe some were even sold out already?! These lippies are on fire!
I managed to narrow my choices down to five – Saint Tropez 336, Pink Icon 366, Riviera 639, Silhouette 339, and Sunset Boulevard 829
What the Sephora website has to say about Addict Extreme Lipstick:
What it is:
An extremely long-wearing lipstick that provides radiant shine.
What it does:
This long-wearing lipstick goes the distance, resisting fading while adding bold color and beautiful shine. The expert formula combines waxes, radiant oils, and hyaluronic microspheres for ultimate comfort and a lip-plumping effect.
Size: 0.12 oz
(top to bottom: Saint Tropez, Pink Icon, Riviera, Silhouette, Sunset Boulevard)
(L-R: Saint Tropez, Pink Icon, Riviera, Silhouette, Sunset Boulevard)
Saint Tropez is a sheer, milky peachy pink tint. This is a Sephora exclusive shade.
Pink Icon is a sheer candy pink. Actually a little less pink than I thought it would be, but still very pretty. This is a Sephora exclusive shade.
Riviera is a a sheer coral, perfect for those hot beachy days.
Silhouette is a pinky nude, excellent for every day use with any look.
Sunset Boulevard is a sheer berry shade. This one applied unevenly, but was easily fixed by some serious smushing together of the lips. The shade combined with this formula is a great way to wear a vampy color in the Summer months.
The formula is moisturizing, and when layered offers a nice pigment. It really does give the appearance of plumping.
I didn’t find this lipstick to be any more long-wearing than a regular lustre type of lipstick, but even after the moisture was fading (a few hours) and the color was starting to dull, I still had some pigment to my lips.
Out of all of the lipsticks from Dior I’ve tried (and loved!) Addict Extreme is my favorite, basically because it’s the most “me”. I love a light and smooth lip, even when wearing bold colors, it should be light. I’m not always comfortable with thick or deep lips, so a formula like this makes all shades wearable.
The outer packaging is gorgeously sleek, and I find it much more appealing in the blue casing over the silver of the other Addict Lipsticks.
