MAC Viva Glam NICKI Lipstick Swatches, Review and Comparisons – Ricky & Nicki for MAC Viva Glam 2012

MAC has done it again and released a dual collaboration featuring Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin for the Viva Glam Campaign!  Joining the ranks of such celebrities as Lady Gaga, Lady Gaga again, and Cyndi Lauper (to name a few), Ricky and Nicki will feature both a bright pink lipstick and a clear Lip Conditioner.

Nicki (bright yellow pink, satin) is very Nicki Minaj.  It’s bright, loud, vibrant, and pink… and makes a statement.  This shade is (thankfully) nothing like Pink Friday, which makes it more wearable for me (I can’t pull that lilac base well at ALL).  Nicki is rather warm toned, but I think some cool toned ladies could work it too, especially with the right liner.  The girl at the MAC counter recommended playing with a few liners under this shade to find how it will work best for you.

It is a bit drying (though not TOO bad, you could deal with it) so it will pair up nicely with the Ricky Lip Conditioner.  I also like to tone it down a bit (personal preference) by using Subculture Lip Pencil and just dabbing Nicki on lightly over top.

I did a few comparison swatches to Nicki, though none are dupes sometimes when a lipstick is side by side to another it’s easier to imagine how the shade will look if you can’t check it out in person:

   i’m not normaly wear lips color like this or any lipstick
   but because of this is for charity i think it’s good to have one
   at least buy spending some money i help the other

   Hey! The lipstick color looks neon pink with a flare to it. The brightness looks really nice on your lips as well.
