MAC always finds the most intriguing people to collaborate with. Sometimes I personally have never heard of them, but the fun products that are featured in these collections always inspire me to do my research.
If you search the words “Vera” and “Artist” you’re going to get a TON of hits, most of them not who you’re looking for. The artist that is known as Vera, is actually Vera Neumann. A description from the book Vera: The Art and Life of an Icon (which I thought said it best) “Legendary designer and artist Vera Neumann (1907–1993) believed in art’s ability to inspire and enrich lives. An innovator and one of the most successful female entrepreneurs of her time, Vera built her company on a radical philosophy: fine art should be accessible to everyone, not just a select few. Known for her iconic images of cheerful flowers, trendy geometrics, and vibrant ladybugs, she believed people should surround themselves with beauty.”
In the collaboration with MAC we see a lot of what Vera was known for, and in the Pearlmatte Face Powders, we definitely notice that cute little ladybug In the Vera Collection two Pearlmatte Face Powders are available – Sunday Afternoon, and today’s post of Flower Fantasy.
What the MAC website has to say about Vera Pearlmatte Face Powder:
Embossed with her signature ladybug motif, this powder could only be M·A·C Vera. Three shades in both pearl and matte finishes. Effortless to blend, provides a dynamic highlight for face or eyes. Limited edition.
12 g / 0.42 US oz
Flower Fantasy (pale coral with a slight gold pearl/slightly blue pale pink/soft pale salmon) is a beautiful and luminous warm cheek color. Since this shade is a bit lighter than Sunday Afternoon, I like to pick up the darkest shade first for contour and then swirl all the shades together to place on the apples of the cheeks and blend.
MAC Vera Pearlmatte Face Powder retails for $28.00 and is available at maccosmetics.com as well as at MAC counters and stores.
