Take a deep breath… exhale…Are you ready?
Somewhat elusive, is this blush… the Dior Spring Garden Party has been in full swing for a few weeks now, and I haven’t seen hide nor hair of the blush. Sure, it was online at Dior, but this is the type of bright thing one needs to see in person before making a purchase. Finally it hits the Sephora website, and my awesome Sephora store dug one out of the back room for me days before they were going to put it out. I have nothin’ but love for Sephora. I wasn’t allowed to swatch, since no testers were made yet, but I took a deep breath and said… “Let’s do this”. Paid for. Done. You’re mine, Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush in the shade of Petal =P
What the Sephora website has to say about Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush:
What it is:
A blush that creates a naturally flushed look on the cheeks. What it does:
Flattering on all skintones, this finely milled light pink formula adjusts to the skin’s chemistry to create a customized look of pinched, rosy cheeks. Each Rosy Glow Blush comes in a sleek silver case, with an easy-to-use brush applicator, and features an embossed Dior logo. What else you need to know:
The ultra-fine powder texture and irresistible rose fragrance of this blush offer a moment of pure indulgence with each application.Size: 0.26 oz
The Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush might look scary, but when worn isn’t harsh at all. This shade actually warms and awakens the face. One sweep gives you a slight flush, but if you’re going for color you can build it up. I was terrified of this at first and figured I’d give it a test run at my Aunt’s jewelry party, but it looked amazing on and is still looking fabulous over 5 hours later.
Normally I’m no advocate for using brushes included with product, but it seems lately (especially with Dior and Chanel) I am loving the little brush that comes with a cheek product. It’s the perfect size for sweeping color on the apples of the cheeks and blending upward.
Now, this product will look slightly different on everyone. It’s formulated to adjust to the skins chemistry so that it’s customized for each individual.
Sephora is putting these out this week. If they aren’t out already they will be. They went to the back to grab one for me, so if it’s not out, just ask.
I had no dupes in my stash, but here were what I thought would be the closest (looking quickly). A few comparisons:
(Chanel Blush Horizon de Chanel, Dior Rosy Glow, MAC Azalea Blossom)
Dior Rosy Glow is a much stronger color and a more bubblegum pink. It may be more similar to NARS Gaiety but I don’t own that one to compare. (ETA – My girl Messy Wands just put up a comparison swatch today!)
Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush retails for $44.00 and is available at Sephora and Dior.com. (It looks like it’s sold out at Dior.com, so I suggest you get movin’ to Sephora if you’re wanting this!)

Is this blush similar with mac dame or mac well dressed?
Brooke says
I don’t have either to compare it to, but based off of swatches it looks like dame isn’t as bright or pigmented. well dressed seems closer, if you’re looking for a dupe. the dior is formulated to work with your chemistry, so it should look very slightly different on everyone

I love this shade – I’m on a bit of a cool-toned pink kick at the moment and I love how wearable but still pretty it looks. Would have loved to see the blush on your cheeks though 🙂
Brooke says
I’m wearing it again today, I’ll have to add in a pic 😉

I swatched this the other day but I’m usually not a fan of baby pink blushes. Now that you said it is formulated to adjust to the skins chemistry so that it’s customized for each individual however, maybe I’ll go back, dab it on my cheeks and see what happens! Thanks for sharing Brooke 🙂
