We’ve seen MAC release Metal-X Cream Shadows several times, originally debuting in 2007. They’ve consistently been nice to look at, easy to use, and vibrant.
Nine shades have been released with this current 2011 collection of Metal-X – Cyber, Virgin SIlver, Fusion Gold, Palladium, Rusty, Red Hot Copper, Venetian Tarnish, Vintage Coin, and Gold Carbon.
What the MAC Website has to say about Metal-X Cream Shadows:
A cream to powder metallic shadow that provides liquid metal effects. Goes on smoothly, blends like a charm. An extremely luxurious highlight/finish for eyes, cheeks and skin.
Venetian Tarnish (golden tarnished bronze) is a beautiful bronzed shade. Warm, yet not brassy.
Palladium (metallic ash) is probably the least pigmented of the four and is a light pewter shade. Though it is light, it will look phenomenal with a taupe shadow on top, and is my favorite of the four shown here!
Virgin Silver (white with silver pearl) is so beautiful. It’s a light silver with lots of shimmery pearl sheen. This is an excellent shade to use at the inner corners of the eye.
Vintage Coin (metallic olive green) is an army green with flashy golden shimmer.
The pigment is amazing on this product. This cream to powder formula is smooth and easy to work with, but can crease rather quickly. I have the best luck with the Metal-X shadows when I put on UDPP, then the Metal-X, then another shadow on top. I’ve never been able to wear them alone.
The MAC Metal-X Cream Shadows retail for $20.00 each and are available at your local MAC Cosmetic Counter or Store, as well as at MACcosmetics.com. These shades are limited edition to the Metal-X Collection. Currently, Vintage Coin is the only shade sold out online, but you can your local MAC to check on availability there.
