Previously I reviewed and did a look with the Mineralize Eye Shadows in Cloudy Afternoon and Twilight Falls. Makeup lovers tend to have a love/hate in regards to Mineralize Eye Shadows because it’s hard to get the pigment you crave when you use these dry. This particular product is MEANT to be more sheer, but you’ll see below in pictures that the right base can make all the difference!
What the MAC Website has to say about Mineralize Eye Shadows:
Baked minerals refined into a powder formula provide exceptionally sheer and lightweight application. Colour builds lightly, layer after layer, without heavy coverage.
2.5 g / 0.08 US oz
(L-R: Daylight over Palladium Metal-X, Daylight swatched heavily, Daylight blended out)
Daylight (peach with dirty blue lavender veining) swatches as a purple based taupe. As you can see from the swatch, it looks the same blended out as it does swatched heavily. Where it truly shines is over top of Palladium Metal-X Cream Shadow. You can also get a more pigmented effect if you use Daylight wet. This would also be beautiful over a purple base (try Hyperviolet Paint Pot), or, for a super glittery approach, MAC Morning Frost Paint Pot.
MAC Mineralize Eye Shadows retail for $20.00 each. Daylight is Limited Edition to the MAC Naturally Collection. This collection is available at maccosmetics.com, MAC Stores, and counter locations. Click to view the official press release.
