Recently, a long time friend of mine started working at the Armani Beauty counter at Nordstrom. Of course I had to run right over and show him some love, and have him educate me on Armani, since I don’t have a ton of it.
My first lesson was in the Blushing Fabric Second Skin Blush. I played around a bit and bought #01 Shimmering Peach, but also got samples of the others in stock to swatch for you!
What the Nordstrom website has to say about Giorgio Armani ‘Blushing Fabric’ Second Skin Blush:
Premiering Blushing Fabric second-skin blush: a new sensory experience from Armani. Crafted as a micro-blend of pure water-soluble pigments and lacquers, this cushiony formula delivers buildable color for cheek and face that is both imperceptible and long-lasting.
Artist tip: Squeeze a small amount onto the back of your hand and apply with fingertips to the apple of your cheek. Buff to perfection with the Blush Brush. Blend to the desired result using your middle and pointer fingers.
Limited edition.
Colors featured in the Jacquard fall collection include #06 Carmel and #07 Scarlatto.
0.6 oz.
(this is literally ALL you need for each cheek)
(swatched heavily, sheered out)
I was really surprised to see the name of 01 was Shimmering Peach. It does have a peach tone to it, but on me it goes more pink with a gorgeous (yet subtle) golden shimmer. The product has a gel consistency that is super light and smooth.
The best way to apply this blush, is to put a dab on your fingers, smile at your beautiful self, and start to dab on your cheeks, working your way up the cheekbone. This way, most of the product will be on the apples of your cheeks, and you can easily blend up with two fingers. Depending on how dark you are, you may need to add more. I’m NW25 and just needed one application on each cheek for a natural flush. You want to make sure you’re blending evenly, so that nothing ends up looking patchy.
Because David is so awesome, I was also able to secure samples of the other available shades in 02 Sicilian Orange, 03 Pink Chiffon, 04 Sienna, 05 Raspberry, and 07 Scarlatto. Not pictured is 06 Carmel.
Giorgio Armani ‘Blushing Fabric’ Second Skin Blush retails for $38.00 and is available at Nordstrom. If you want to call in use 412-548-4300, ask for the Armani counter and make sure to ask for David!
