October 2011 BIRCHBOX Photos and Thoughts

Boo. And not the scary boo. The sad boo. The October Birchbox contained NO Halloween theme stuff! Whuttttt. =( I thought there would be something holiday wise… geez.

This months Birchbox wasn’t a huge let down or anything, but the products inside didn’t get my motor revving like last month.

~ AHAVA Mineral Hand Cream
~ AHAVA Dermud Foot Cream
~ Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Makeup Primer in Bronze
~ Ouidad Moisture Lock Leave-in Conditioner
~ Sunday Riley Modern Skincare Juno Transformative Lipid Serum

The AHAVA Hand Cream is nice, and will be perfect to keep in my purse. It sinks in rather quickly, but has an odd odor. It’s not offensive, but it’s not a smell I want to keep revisiting once the trial size is gone.

The AHAVA Foot Cream I love. It’s nice and thick and the smell is pleasant. I’m on my feet A LOT so they always look and feel like I’ve been through a war. I need all the help I can get and this foot cream is top notch.

I’m a little perplexed about the Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Makeup Primer in Bronze… Why do I want a bronzer in the fall? It looked super dark, but they weren’t lying when they said it blends with every skin tone. Really it doesn’t change anything about my face at all. It felt nice on, and I’d consider checking out the non-bronzer version, but don’t buy this product and expect some sort of miracle glow… or any glow at all.

As yet, I haven’t tried the Ouidad Moisture Lock Leave-in Conditioner or the Sunday Riley Modern Skincare Juno Transformative Lipid Serum, but they do look interesting and I’m always up for new hair care and serums 😉

I think that the October Birchbox was still worth my subscription, so I’ll be keeping this service going at least until next month… which is my BIRTHDAY month! Maybe that means good luck 😉

If you want to sign up for your own Birchbox subscription, I’d LOVE to refer you! I get referral points for each person that I refer that signs up, so just shoot me your email address (either here, twitter, facebook, or email me personally!) and I will send you the referral email ASAP.
