MAC Treasure Hunt, Genuine Treasure, Idyllic Paint Pot Swatches & Review – Posh Paradise

Ever since their launch, MAC Paint Pots have been extremely popular. Every time a collection is announced including a Paint Pot the buzz gets a little more intense.

Today, I have 3 of the paint pots from the new MAC Posh Paradise CollectionTreasure Hunt, Genuine Treasure, and Idyllic. This collection will launch tomorrow (September 15, 2011) at MAC stores and counters. Unfortunately, the 3 paint pots I’m sharing today have already sold out on the MAC website. In fact, MOST of the paint pots from this collection are sold out. 8 Paint Pots were released with Posh Paradise and only Nubile, Pure Creation, and Hyperviolet remain available for online purchase on the MAC website (as of this blog post).

I do hope you can get to your counter and pick up the ones you like, there are some really fun colors with this collection!

Treasure Hunt(light pearled yellow) is a beautiful metallic light gold. This shade is nice and creamy. Not so pigmented on first swatch, but definitely buildable to wear alone or underneath eye shadows as a base. I would love to wear this one with Chanel Topkapi.

Genuine Treasure(reflects antique gold) is a GORGEOUS khaki gold. You can see the glitter in the swatch, and it does feel a bit gritty when applied, but dries a nice shimmery sheen. This would be beautiful under Le Metier de Beaute Chameleon or the Dior Smoky Khaki’s.

Idyllic(mid-tone copper/bronze) is a beautiful and extremely creamy and pigmented burgundy shade. Right on trend for the season. This would be beautiful worn alone and sheered out, or underneath a shade like MAC Mythical.

MAC Paint Pots retail for $17.50. Like I said above, most are sold out on, but this collection officially launches tomorrow, so there is still opportunity to pick up the ones you want!
