MAC Carbonized and Outre Eye Shadow Swatches & Review – MAC Me Over

Today from the MAC Me Over Collection (Fall 2011) I have 2 more Eye Shadows to share with you, Carbonized and Outre.

Carbonized is described as a “frosty dark brown”. It’s simply beautiful. If you enlarge the photos you can see all of the pretty shimmer. I wouldn’t call this shade wonderfully unique, it’s a warm dark brown shimmer, but it blended in well with the collection and I think makeup users and MAC lovers will love it. Let’s be honest, I’m going to sing the praises of 99.9% of all Veluxe Pearl Eye Shadows.

Outre is described as a “dirty mustard”. Which it totally is. This is a matte shade but it’s easier to work with than most of the other matte shades that I’ve tried. It feels a lot softer and that made it easier to blend. I have the WORST time with mattes, usually. It’s an interesting color and unlike anything I already had in my stash. I’m actually shocked it’s not sold out yet! (Sun Blonde from Surf, Baby! was similar in my head, but it’s actually less brown and has more gold in it. It’s also a frost finish, which changes the look of the yellows together as well).

From this collection I also reviewed Mythical & Satin Taupe Eye Shadows, and you can check that out by clicking HERE.

MAC Eye Shadows retail for $15.00 each and are available at as well as at MAC freestanding stores and counters. The ones reviewed in this post from the Fall 2011 MAC Me Over Collection are Limited Edition and currently available as of their release on August 25.
